Synopsis
Jonathan Harker is terrified. He and his beloved partner Mina were the only two people present when Count Dracula died, and now they have symptoms—strange symptoms that don’t seem possible since neither of them were bitten. Desperately, John revisits the diary he kept while he was trapped in Dracula’s castle in Transylvania a few months earlier, hoping that the passages will provide more information about the infamous monster. But as John relives his most traumatic memories, he realizes that maybe they’re not so traumatic. Maybe they’re empowering, enlightening; maybe Count Dracula isn't as bad as everyone thinks he is…

PLEASE BE ADVISED
Transylvania contains a few moments of violence, as well as themes of death and grief (and vampires)
"There has to be a reason—a Big New Different reason for why he wanted to lure you into his castle, into his home..."
Project Process
Transylvania is currently still in development. The performance on June 4th will be an on-its-feet staged reading—meaning actors will use their scripts, but there will be some movement and staging (actors will not be stationary at music stands a la a traditional reading set-up). We will be incorporating design elements as well.

Audience members will be given the opportunity to give feedback on the script, either by chatting with us after the performance or filling out a short survey about their experience watching the play. So, please join us on the 4th to be part of the creative development process. Who knows? Your insights could be exactly what we need to take the script to the next level!

"If we wanna figure out the Big New Different Plan, we gotta understand the man. The man buried under the monster..."
